Kerman & Co advises CloserStill on the acquisition of Bizmedia Limited
November 5, 2014
Kerman & Co acted for long standing client, CloserStill, who specialise in professional events, chiefly in the healthcare and learning and technology sectors, on the acquisition of Bizmedia Limited.
Bizmedia Limited is the organiser of the E-Learning Awards which were established in 2005 to recognise and celebrate e-learning excellence and is considered one of the most celebrated, independently judged awards schemes within the learning industry. The awards are open to anyone worldwide and the entries come from all business sectors including education, healthcare, property, finance, transport, utilities, retail, leisure, pharmaceuticals and many more. Bizmedia Limited is also the publisher of the e.learning age magazine.
The acquisition of Bizmedia Limited complements CloserStill’s existing learning division, which includes Learning Technologies, one of the largest e-learning events in the world and Cloud Expo Europe.
Mark Penton, organiser of Learning Technologies, said “We have been fortunate enough to attend the E-Learning Awards since its launch a decade ago. In that time Bizmedia has done a phenomenal job establishing the E-Learning Awards as the premier awards for our industry. The awards are a wonderful addition to the Learning Technologies stable and we look forward to working with the current team to take the awards on to the next level and to extend their reach and influence”.
Una Deretic (Partner) of the Corporate Team and Suzanne Proctor (Partner) of the Employment Team advised CloserStill on this transaction.
