Charles read law at UCL and the College of Law, qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He worked firstly as an assistant solicitor and then as equity partner with Lipkin Gorman. He spent the first few years at Lipkin Gorman in its company commercial department, assisting in some of the firm’s major M&A and commercial work. Charles then moved to the private client department acting for high net worth clients and dealing with all aspects of the client’s commercial and private client matters.

Charles is a member of the Board of Albion Trust and the International Tax Planners Association.
