Dan has over 15 years’ experience advising corporates and insolvency practitioners on restructuring and formal insolvency assignments. He advises the management of borrowers, secured and unsecured lenders, and other creditors on all aspects of financial and operational reorganisations. He also advises on formal insolvency procedures, acting for administrators and liquidators of companies and partnerships.
In recent years he has advised on the use of the special administration regimes established under the Banking Act for financial institutions, including the first use of such powers for a Building Society. Dan has particular expertise in issues relating to the use of partnerships and limited partnerships in fund structures and their insolvency.
Prior to joining Kerman & Co in 2017, Dan practised in Magic Circle and leading international law firms in the City of London. Dan has degrees from Birmingham University and the London School of Economics and is a member of R3, the association of business recovery professionals.
