Career:
Nicholas has over 20 years� experience of corporate finance transactions involving smaller quoted companies and specialises in flotation and associated matters, including secondary issues, corporate reorganisations, capital reductions and schemes of arrangement, as well as merger and acquisition work and takeovers. He also advises public companies on corporate governance and other regulatory requirements.
Nicholas has experience in a number of industry sectors, having acted for mineral resource companies, investment trusts, property investment companies and for companies in (among others) the financial services, entertainment, horticulture, scientific instrument, telecommunication and sales finance sectors. He has acted for a number of financial advisers.
Nicholas acted for one of the first companies to join AIM, for the first start-up company to raise money on an AIM flotation and for the first listed company to retain its listing through the course of a corporate voluntary arrangement. He held a leading position in Irish Developing Companies Market flotations.
He is a member of the legal committee of the Quoted Companies Alliance; has been a non-executive director of an �equity release� company and has worked in-house as company secretary and legal head of a listed fund management company.
Nicholas qualified in 1982 with Blyth Dutton, where he became a partner in 1986. Blyth Dutton merged with Lawrence Graham in 1991, where he remained a partner until he joined Eversheds in 2000 in a position that he combined with an in-house role for Premier Asset Management plc between 2000 and 2002.���
