Kerman & Co Advises the Management Team of CloserStill Holdings Limited on Secondary Buyout and Investment by Phoenix Equity Partners

28 May 2012

Phoenix Equity Partners a UK middle-market private equity firm have invested in our long standing client, CloserStill marking a partial exit for NVM Private Equity who have been invested in the company since 2008.

CloserStill has generated substantial growth over the last three years thus delivering an excellent return on NVM’s original investment. The company has a portfolio of ten major exhibitions in the UK, principally in the healthcare and technology sectors. The company has just announced its first international event, France Vet, which takes place in Paris next year.

This new capital will support management’s accelerated growth strategy, including international expansion and further UK-based growth, driven by acquisitions and new launches.

The management team at CloserStill will stay in place with Andy Center as CEO and Phil Soar as Chairman. Phil Nelson and Michael Westcott will also remain on the board.
Center says: "It’s been a brilliant journey and huge fun so far with our friends at NVM and with a team of people here that can move mountains. Phoenix has an enviable pedigree and, with their backing, we can now paint our pictures on even bigger canvasses – the adventure continues.”

Yvonne Costello, Associate Partner led the team supported by Asad Qayyum, Associate and with specialist Tax advice from Partner Philip Alfandary.
