Suzanne is a corporate lawyer specialising in the buying and selling of businesses, private equity work and a range of corporate issues.

Suzanne’s expertise includes M&A (buying and selling businesses and companies from relatively small sums up to £100m), corporate restructuring, advising on shareholder, partnership and LLP member disputes, drafting shareholders’ agreements and LLP Agreements.

She also specialises in non-contentious employment work for high net worth individuals and SMEs, including drafting and advising on employment contracts, employee share schemes and employment policies; drafting and negotiating settlement agreements; and ad hoc employment advice on dealing with employers/employees.

Suzanne joined Kerman & Co in 2019 following the firm’s merger with Coffey Graham. Prior to that, she was a partner in the corporate team at Wedlake Bell, having previously been the managing partner of Cumberland Ellis.

Representative experience includes:

• Advised on the sale of a 70% stake in a UK company to a Chinese investor for £70m and remained the solicitor to the target.
• Advised on the acquisition of 75% of a UK company for a listed Swedish company.
• Advised on the sale of 70% of an investment advisory LLP to a large multi-national bank for £20m and then renegotiated the LLP Agreement between the members and the bank.
• Advised on the sale of a holiday camp business for £5.5m.
• Advised on the sale of a software company (with a Queen’s Award for Export 2018) for c£16m.
• Advised on the sales of various small companies between £1-£10m.
• Acted for the UK subsidiary of a multinational corporation on all their contract work.
• Negotiated the settlement agreements of several MDs and FDs of FTSE 500 companies.
