Paul specialises in M&A (public and private), venture capital and private equity work and finance and banking transactions. Much of Paul’s work has an international dimension. His clients include US corporations and companies that have expanded their business by acquisition in Europe.

Paul previously worked at a number of firms including A&O, Berwin Leighton Paisner and Maclay Murray & Spens; and is the contributor of the private equity section of Sweet and Maxwell’s Practical Commercial Precedents.

Paul is named as a recognised M&A lawyer in the 2017 edition of the Legal 500.

Representative experience includes:

• Lead adviser on the acquisition of Just Jamie by LF Europe the European acquisition vehicle of Hong Kong based Li & Fung plc.
• Lead adviser on the acquisition of Metron Eledyne by US based Hubbell Inc.
• Lead adviser on the sale of River Group to Sun Capital.
• Lead adviser to the shareholders of Periproducts Limited, a dental care products business, on its sale to Venture Life Group PLC.
